About Us

A woman's crime does not define her.

She is not a prison number.

She is a survivor.

Unfortunately, survival is difficult for many. Adequate housing and employment are just a few of the obstacles she faces when attempting to reintegrate into the community.

We assist in navigating these barriers to ensure residents become productive and law-abiding citizens of their community and family. Above all, we offer a non-judgmental support system.

“Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

~ Hebrews 10:17

Our Mission

We strive to empower System Impacted Survivors (SIS) to break the cycles of trauma, addiction and incarceration by equipping them with essential life skills that prepare them for independence and a second chance at life.

“She is clothed in strength and dignity; she laughs without fear of the future.”

~Proverbs 31:25

Who We Are

Welcome Home SIS is a non-profit, Christ-centered safety net that caters to women who have been impacted by the criminal injustice system and have endured a period of imprisonment.

“Created to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

~ Ephesians 2:12

What We Do

We provide a safe space and stable living environment for formerly incarcerated women— a sanctuary that initiates, promotes and continually nurtures the healing process.

“But no stranger had to spend the night in the street, for my door was always open.”

~ Job 31:32
